Inaugurated in 1952, China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute (CTIEI) used to be the only large survey and design unit affiliated to the former Ministry of Textile Industry, to the Central Work Committee for Enterprises in 2000, to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in 2003, and CTIEI was merged into CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) in July, 2007. CTIEI is one of the first large engineering institutes with first-grade qualification in light, textile, chemical fiber and petroleum industries, etc. Having made great contributions for textile, chemical fiber and chemical fiber material industries, CTIEI is recognized as the forerunner of those technological enterprises.
Facing the opportunities and challenges from market economy, CTIEI pays great attention to talent cultivation and technical innovation, strengthens market development and perfects managing organism on the strategic altitude of long-term development.
