Inaugurated in Sept. 1952. China Textile Industrial Engineering Institute (CTIEI) is a large back-bone survey and engineering unit with:
★First-grade certificates for light. textile. architecture. chemical. petro-chemical. pharmaceutical (organic chemical) industries
★ First-grade certificates for engineering consultation. engineering survey. engineering supervision. EPC contractor.
★ First-grade certificates for environment management. intelligent building. engineering cost and
★ certificates for pressure vessels of Category 1. 2. 3 and pressure pipe. etc.
CTIEI obtained ISO9001 certificate in 1997 and ISO14001 certificate and OHSAS18001 certificate in 2006. CTIEI is staffed with 800 people. including
★ 3 engineering master designers.
★ 57 experts enjoying allowance from the government.
★ 360 senior engineers.
★ 220 engineers.
★ 11 Grade-A registered architects.
★ 26 Grade-A registered structure engineers.
★ 28 registered consulting engineers and cost engineers.
CTIEI has an engineering team covering more than 20 disciplines. including chemical. chemical fiber. textile. dyeing and finishing. architecture. structure. auto- control. electric. machinery. HVAC. water supply and drainage. thermal energy & power engineering. geotechnical engineering. engineering survey. computer. environment protection. and tech-economics. etc.
Over 50 years since its inauguration. CTIEI has completed more than 1.000 printing and dyeing factories. chemical fiber plants. petro-chemical fiber plants and civil architecture projects. etc. It has carried out over 80 overseas projects covering 26 countries and regions. Since 1980. CTIEI has been awarded 1 National Super- Prize for Engineering Design. 24 National Prizes for Excellent Survey and Design (including 12 Golden Medals).
CTIEI attaches great importance to technical innovation and adopts new process. new technology and new material in engineering design and construction. It possesses quite a few proprietary technologies. such as large-scale continuous PET poly-condensation technology. polymer distribution process. industrial waste water treatment. etc. CTIEI is awarded 12 Technological Progress Prizes by the State. 41 Technological Progress Prizes by the Province and Ministry. 3 Computer Software Prizes by the State and 5 Prizes for Excellent Engineering Construction Standard.
CTIEI started R&D for PET technology. reaction mechanism and reactor fabrication in 1992. In 1997. “Complete PET Equipment” was incorporated as one of the research subjects of large-scale complete ethylene equipment and the key research project in the Ninth Five-Year Plan by the Chinese Government. Based on the engineering practice. CTIEI has established its self-developed technical software and formed the independent capability for technical innovation. engineering design. high-capacity equipment design and complete equipment manufacture. For the complete PET technology with an annual capacity of 100.000 tons CTIEI was awarded a Second-grade National Prize for Technological Progress in 2002. Depending on self-developed technology and equipments. CTIEI has built 180 tpd. 360tpd. 400tpd and 600tpd PET plants with four-reactor process or five-reactor process and. in 2006. won National Second-grade Prize for Technological Progress. CTIEI has filed application for 9 patents relating to PET technology and equipment. and 6 patents of them are already granted by the Patent Office of the People’s Republic of China.
CTIEI started to carry out R&D for melt pipeline in 1980s. In chemical fiber production. the transportation of polymer melt is a key link. Because the melt is of high viscosity and high temperature. and the pressure is high and distance is long during conveyance. we. on one hand. make calculation of hydromechanics. heat transfer theory and thermodynamics and choose the best transport condition to prevent deterioration of melt quality; on the other hand. we make thermal-stress analysis for pipeline to guarantee the safety of production. By several years’ R & D. melt transportation technology containing melt filtration technology began to be used in engineering design successfully. For this fruit. CTIEI was awarded a National Second-grade Technological Progress Prize in 1987.
Since 1980. CTIEI has undertaken the engineering design for 16 polyester staple fiber projects with its proprietary technology and complete equipment..
Since 1960s. CTIEI has undertaken the engineering design for over 10 viscose-fiber projects and accumulated abundant experiences. From 1996 onwards. CTIEI and some related units carried out the key research project in the Ninth Five-Year Plan of the Country and developed a complete equipment & technology with the highest single-line capacity at that time and automatic control system. For that. CTIEI possesses rights for proprietary intellectual property and the technology has reached international level. In 2003. CTIEI won a First-grade Technological Progress Prize of Shandong Province. In 2004. CTIEI finished Systematic Integration Research for Annual Capacity of 45.000t Rayon Staple Project and developed a series of single largest complete production line in the world with his partners. For this outcome. CTIEI obtained a First-grade Prize for Science and Technology from China Textile Enterprise Institute in 2005 and a National First-grade Technological Progress Prize in 2006.
CTIEI has made full use of domestic resources and established close partnership with several universities for R&D. such as the East China University of Science and Technology. Tianjin University. Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Beijing Institute of Technology. Zhejiang University. Donghua University and Beijing Institute of Clothing. etc.
AABC (Anaerobic-Aerobic-Biological-Carbon) technology is a new technology developed for treating waste water from printing & dyeing process and overcomes demerits of physic-chemical treatment and traditional biochemical method. For this technology. CTIEI was awarded a National Second-grade Prize for Progress of Science and Technology in 1992. The technology is widely adopted in China and more than twenty (20) waste water treatment projects are built in Asia and Africa.
